Over the last couple of years, companies have really started to embrace UX, growing larger teams in-house and implementing it into different areas of business. With this trend in mind, Premier Group are hosting our very first UX event, The UX Revolution in conjunction with General Assembly!
We have fantastic speakers from different backgrounds (Publishing, Telecoms, International agencies and Social media) that are going to be talking about how UX has grown within their organisations and how they implement it across the business.

Andy Marshall – Head of UX at Rufus Leonard
Andy has almost 20 years’ experience working in digital and has worked across several industry sectors and for some great clients including British Gas, The AA, Stagecoach, Bupa, O2, Skype and eBay. As Head of User Experience at Rufus Andy’s role involves collaborating across the agency to inject UX thinking into projects and pitches whilst building, developing and managing a crack-team of UXers, facilitating workshops both internally and with clients, and talking at UX and Marketing events.
Hara Mihailidou – Head of UX at JustGiving
Strategic and multidisciplinary team leader, passionate with every idea that challenges the existing HCI (Human–computer Interaction) reality. As a Head of UX at JustGiving Hara ensures that both consumer and non-profit audiences have a delightful and cohesive experience across channels. Hara Mihailidou has previously worked for brands like Microsoft, Skype, O2, Hearst as well as Seren EY Service Design agency. Her educational background is on Interactive Media (MA, London College of Communication) and Computer science (BSc).
Jonathan Hassell – Accessibility Director at Open Inclusion
Professor Jonathan Hassell is a thought leader in inclusion, with over 16 years’ experience of helping digital production teams deliver accessible user experiences, and sharing best practice at international conferences. He is the lead author of BS 8878 – the British Standards on embedding accessibility within organisations’ business-as-usual processes – based on his years of experience as Head of Accessibility & Usability at the BBC. As Accessibility Director of Open Inclusion he leads a team providing inclusion research, training and strategic accessibility consultancy to organisations worldwide.
Dr John McCarthy – Global Head of UX & Product at Lebara
John McCarthy has over 20 years experience in Human Centred Design. He’s worked with many digital & design agencies in London including LBi, AKQA, Dare and Publicis and has a strong track record delivering digital product strategy and platforms for well-known global brands including DHL, Tesco and Volkswagon. His projects have received BIMA awards (Army Jobs, ITN Source) and most recently a UXUK Award for English Heritage. After doing a tour of duty inside a brand agency he now focuses on Customer Experience and organisational change – helping companies to transform the way they operate to deliver a better experience to their customers and employees.
