In association with General Assembly, we hosted our very first UX event ‘The UX Revolution’ last night! With over 120 people in attendance and a line up of four fantastic speakers, it was sure to be a very successful evening.
Our first speaker to take the stage was Andy Marshall, Head of UX at Rufus Leonard. His talk was all about how you can have a shining career in UX and he gave lots of tips on how to achieve this. Following on from Andy was Hara Mihailidou, Head of UX at Just Giving who gave a very inspiring presentation on who to have as role models for UX, getting the audience involved in the process!
Our third speaker was Professor Jon Hassell, Accessibility Director at Open Inclusion. He based his talk around the past, present and future of accessibility and even gave away a copy of his book for free to the audience member with the best question! Our final speaker was Dr John McCarthy, Global Head of UX & Product at Lebara discussing his take on the UX Revolution and what is happening inside companies, including Google!
After four very inspiring talks, our audience were very keen to ask all their questions in the networking session, along with lots of wine, beer and nibbles.
After the huge success of the evening, we are already excited for our next event around the topic ‘Building to Scale’. Watch this space!
